ROAR supports and creates awareness around:
- Animal shelters
- SPCAs
- Wildlife conservation
- Anti-poaching units
- Wildlife veterinarians
- Rangers
- K9 units
- Working dogs
- Rehabilitation centres
- Conservation organisations
- The individuals putting themselves in difficult environments to protect animals
TRE wants people to understand not only that wildlife crime exists, but also who is standing between these animals and extinction.
That includes rangers and handlers whose work often happens far away from cameras.
K9 & ANTI-POACHING
Working dogs play a significant role in conservation.
ROAR will increasingly highlight anti-poaching K9s, their handlers, training, retirement and the role these dogs play in locating poachers, detecting wildlife products and protecting conservation areas.
This includes individuals such as Sgt. Christian Jan Visser and the wider K9 conservation community.
CONSERVATION SUPPORT
ROAR also highlights organisations, businesses and initiatives whose work contributes to conservation.
For example, Rhino Coffee raises funds and awareness for rhino protection through its products.
TRE can introduce these projects to audiences who may never otherwise discover them.
That is exactly what TRE’s connector model is designed to do.
TRE supports the work. We never imply that an organisation officially supports, endorses or partners with TRE unless that relationship has specifically been established.
